Get Off The Gas NSW

TELL THE GOVERNMENT TO GET OFF GAS NOW

    Get Off The Gas NSW

Let’s be clear. Gas is a HUGE driver of climate change. In fact, it’s as dirty as coal.

But the Federal Government has just released its “Future Gas Strategy” pushing for MORE gas out to 2050 and beyond!

This grossly irresponsible plan, which is all about appeasing the powerful gas lobby, calls for new polluting gas fields including Santos’ controversial Narrabri Gas Project in the Pilliga Forest, home to the Koala and many other threatened species.

Make no mistake. We don’t need more gas.

We need a plan to get off gas.

The Victorian Government has a roadmap to assist households and small businesses to phase out gas appliances and make their energy bills cheaper.

We’re calling on NSW to do the same.

Tell the NSW Treasurer Daniel Mookhey and Energy Minister Penny Sharpe to announce a plan in the upcoming state budget for  NSW to get off gas and make energy bills cheaper. Oh, and help save the planet while they’re at it!
