Chris Minns: Whose Side Are You On?

Tell Chris Minns to stand with the people of NSW and stop Santos

Chris Minns: Whose Side Are You On?

The people or greedy gas companies like Santos? Who does the NSW Premier really support?

At a recent ‘National Energy Forum’ run by Murdoch’s Australian newspaper, Minns said that the disastrous Santos Narrabri Gas project must ‘go ahead’.

This is outrageous. Gomeroi Traditional Owners, local farmers, Unions NSW and climate activists have been fighting for more than a decade to stop this project and its unacceptable risks to people’s health, water, climate and Country.

Santos’ 850 coal seam gas project near Narrabri will destroy much of the precious Pilliga Forest and unleash 1.5 billion tonnes of carbon - all in a climate emergency. Even the NSW Government’s own Net Zero Commission has warned new gas approvals jeopardise the state’s climate targets.

The Premier needs to show he takes climate change seriously and stands with the people of NSW not greedy gas companies like Santos.

The Narrabri gas project won’t fix energy prices or supply, but it will do irreparable damage to our climate and environment. Santos knows this, but they don’t care because for them it’s all about profit.

Tell Chris Minns to stand with the people of NSW and stop Santos!
