GAS BUSTERS: THE WHY AND HOW OF GETTING OFF GAS
Don’t believe the hype that we need more gas.
Federal Labor’s recently released Future Gas Strategy states that Australia will need to be mining gas out to 2050 and beyond! It assumes that new gas like Santos’ climate-wrecking coal seam gas project near Narrabri will be needed as a ‘transition fuel’ to renewable energy.
This plan is a shocker and could have been written by the gas industry itself! Hmmm.
Make no mistake. Gas is harming our health, threatening our water security and is as dangerous to our climate as coal. Even the International Energy Agency agrees there’s no place for new gas in a climate emergency.
We need to get off gas - and we can.
Join Greens MP Cate Faehrmann in conversation with a panel of leading energy experts about how we’re being conned by the powerful gas lobby and governments into thinking we need more gas. Find out all you need to know to counter the argument we need more gas, what actions you can take to stop new gas and how you can lower your household gas consumption.
This is one evening you won’t want to miss! RSVP here.
